Fellow Apple alumnus Evan Doll put together a very well-done presentation on designing for the upcoming Apple iPad. Among the insights I find most interesting is that the iPad is likely to work very differently in a social context than the iPhone does–including the idea that it’s likely to be passed around or viewed by multiple people in a way that iPhones seldom are. (He also gets props in my book for noting how annoying and intrusive iPhones currently can be in social situations–and I say this as someone who owns an iPhone myself!)
